The JADE Foundation: Educate. Advocate. Elevate.

Empowering the Black community to break the silence around mental health through education, advocacy, and connection.

About Us

JADE Foundation’s Mission for Healing, Equity, and Empowered Lives

The JADE Foundation was created out of a deeply personal experience, a painful loss that opened our eyes to the silent struggles so many in the Black community face when it comes to mental health. What started as grief turned into purpose. We knew we had to create something meaningful: a space where people could be honest about their pain, feel supported in their healing, and know they’re not alone.

At JADE, we focus on breaking down the barriers that keep so many from getting the help they need. Through community workshops, support groups, youth programs, and direct access to care, we’re working to normalize conversations around mental health and build real connections. We believe healing is a journey, and no one should have to take it alone.

VISION

We envision a world where mental health is recognized, respected, and supported as a fundamental part of every person’s well-being especially within the Black community. In this world, stigma no longer silences struggle, and access to care isn’t limited by race, income, or circumstance. It’s a future where individuals feel safe to speak their truth without fear or shame, and where healing is accessible, conversations are open, and communities are empowered to prioritize mental wellness.

MISSION

The JADE Foundation is committed to empowering the Black community by fostering open conversations about mental health and wellness. Through education, advocacy, and innovative programming, we aim to break down barriers, reduce stigma, and provide equitable access to essential mental health services for underrepresented individuals and families. Together, we strive to build a future where mental well-being is a priority and every voice is heard, supported, and valued.
